EMBRACING DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE: IT IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS BY OLA JOSEPH

This lecture/workshop focuses on the importance of appreciating your own abilities while embracing the uniqueness of people around you. Having respect for one another. Learn how to reach out and make a difference, recognizing that each person is a gift package with unique abilities. Remember: Diversity is not about how we differ. It is about embracing one another's uniqueness.


LESSON OBJECTIVE

At the end of my session, participants will know:

  • Why Diversity is important to you and your organization
  • The cost of failing to deal with diversity
  • The characteristics that make stereotypes harmful and dangerous
  • Communicating across cultures
  • The role COURAGE (Commitment, Opportunity, Understanding, Relationship, Acceptance, Goodness & Empathy) plays in Diversity

With the economy well into a recession, the corporate focus has been to reduce costs wherever possible. However, recent increases in fuel and energy costs have driven supply prices up the roof. Learn how Freescale is strategically approaching price increase pressures from its supply base but still building a long term relationship.
