Lynda sommers will serve this year as secretary for the San Antonio affiliate. She transferred into this position after serving 2 years as director of events.
she has worked in procurement at Harland Clarke (formally Clarke American Checks) for over thirteen years. Prior to joining Harland Clarke, she held progressively responsible positions in several large local companies.
Lynda is the proud mother of a daughter who is a Sergeant in the USMC currently in training for a position as second lieutenant. Lyndas hobbies include, music, cooking, and playing "cat movies" to her babies.

Director, Category Management & Sourcing
A procurement director at Harland Clarke (formerly Clarke American) since 2003, Mrs.Wenthold's responsibilities include
the Indirect Spend categories that span across all locations in the United States and Puerto Rico. Prior to and in conjunction with this role, from 1999 until mid-year 2006, she was the Category Manager over Product Delivery, leading the negotiations, selection, contracting, and management of carriers responsible for shipments of small packages nationally and internationally.
Mrs.Wenthold came to Clarke American from H-E-B Grocery Company where she served as Category Manager over School/Home Office Products, Greeting Cards/Party Goods, and various other general merchandise categories after completing her M.B.A. at UT-Austin in Option II-McCombs executive program in 1995. Prior to that she was an Assistant Controller in Accounting/Finance at H-E-B, where Mrs. Wenthold developed systems and people to manage store accounts payable, pharmacy, customer and trade accounts receivable. She joined H-E-B in 1990, and became a C.P.A in 1992.
In Bad Kreuznach, Germany, Mrs. Wenthold was a financial counselor and AER Loan Officer for troops and their families with the Department of the Army for three years before moving to San Antonio with her husband for an assignment with the U.S. Air Force in 1988. He has since retired from the USAF and works for General Dynamics.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wenthold make their home in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. A daughter and granddaughter reside in Germany, while their son-in-law currently serves his country on his second tour in Iraq.

Alyene Hanks is presently a Purchasing Supervisor of seven years for Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. and has over fourteen years experience in all aspects of the purchasing
and acquisition process in the public and private sector. Alyene was Professional Development Chair for two years and Marketing Director for one year with NAPM-San Antonio. She was on the planning committee for the 2005 ISM International Conference and managed the Exhibitors Hall at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center May 8-12, 2005. She attended the ISM Leadership conference for Officer Training two consecutive years and was on the dynamic team that won the Spirit Award, "the affiliate with the most spirit".
Alyene is a member and Secretary-Treasurer for Texas Electric Association Material Management (TEAMM), an association to develop a closer relationship among purchasing and material personnel associated with the Rural Electric Cooperative Programs. As part of the committee, she helps plan the association�s annual conference.
Alyene has a BS degree in Business Administration and AA degree in Interior Design. Prior to employment at Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc., she was employed five years as a Contract Specialist with US Air Force and two years as an Associate Buyer with Lockhead Martin.

Bob Wolfe is currently a Purchasing Specialist of seventeen years for Southwest Research Institute, with experience in all aspects of purchasing and the acquisition
process, primarily instrumentation and capital equipment. Bob is currently the Programs Director for ISM San Antonio.
Bob is a member of The Boy Scouts of America, Assistant Scoutmaster Troop 102 Boerne Texas.
Bob has a B.B.A. degree in Business Administration. Bob holds an A.P.P and C.P.M. certification from the Institute of Supply Management. Prior to employment at the Southwest Research Institute purchasing department, he was employed for ten years as a Calibration Technician for Southwest Research Institute mechanical sciences division and four years with the US Air Force.

Walter Truett Grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Aldine High School. Played and lettered in baseball and football and VP of Student Council.

Career: Upon graduation from Texas A&M was commissioned as 2nd Lt. into the US Army. Spent next 20-years in medical operations, supply, logistics and contracting.
After retiring from the Army, was hired as Director Materials Management & Purchasing for the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research. I have been in this position for over 15-years.
I have been a member of the NAPM-San Antonio since 1993. I have been actively involved serving as 2nd VP, 1st VP, President and now Immediate Past President.

Daughter- Tressie, who lives in Clear Lake and is a reading specialist (teacher).
